love than he d ever experienced in his life.
Lost in her beauty, the dam inside him erupted. He came harder than he had in a
long time. Exploding deep inside her, his body tensed. When he meant to let her know
how much she meant to him, a growl tore free from deep inside him and he arched over
her while he cried out and released everything he had.
His arms trembled, no longer willing to hold him up. Afraid he d crush her, he slid
out of her faster than he wanted to and collapsed in the water next to her. She rose up
on her arm, leaning over him and gently stroked his chest.
A few spots on his body pulsed, tender from the intense heat he d endured on the
surface. But it didn t bother him. Happy and sated, he relaxed in the water while she
softly ran her fingers down his chest.
Think you can handle being married to the boss? she asked quietly.
Water ran over his face, and he relaxed further so that he was almost completely
submerged in it. Marriage had crossed his mind but he d hesitated. It was a giant step
and he didn t want to scare her by bringing it up too quickly. Committing to Shara
didn t bother him in the least. He smiled, keeping his head above water just long
enough to answer her.

I can keep you in line, he assured her, and then relaxed, letting the water cover
his face and staring up at the most beautiful woman in all of South Passage.

About the Author
All my life, I ve wondered at how people fall into the routines of life. The paths we
travel seemed to be well-trodden by society. We go to school, fall in love, find a line of
work (and hope and pray it is one we like), have children and do our best to mold them
into good people who will travel the same path. This is the path so commonly referred
to as the real world .
The characters in my books are destined to stray down a different path other than
the one society suggests. Each story leads the reader into a world altered slightly from
the one they know. For me, this is what good fiction is about, an opportunity to escape
from the daily grind and wander down someone else s path.
